Older Ricoh devices are able to install IBS on SD cards (NOT Micro SDHC cards). As today you can't purchase any 128 MByte cards any more, here is the documentation how to downsize larger cards to 128 MB.

If you use Linux for down sizing:

Please send an e-mail to support [at] stethos.com and request the Ubuntu Manual for creating a 128 MByte formatted partition on larger SD cards.


Downsizing with MS Windows:

  1. get a DOS comand box by starting the software CMD
  2. Plug-in the SD card into the SD card slot of your PC / Notebook or external USB Reader and wait until MS Windows did mount it
  3. To start the partition tool type in DISKPART. It can take some minutes until the software finished evaluating your Windows environment.
  4. LIST DISK shows all partitions. Then check which number the SD card partition has.
  5. SELECT DISK #   (# is the number of the listed partition)
  6. SELECT PARTITION 1
  7. LIST PARTITION check if this is the correct size of the SD card. Note: you may accidentally delete your master system, selecting the wrong partition.
  8. CLEAN deletes the partition including all the data content on the SD card
  9. CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SIZE=128
  10. SELECT PARTITION 1
  11. FORMAT FS=FAT32 LABEL="IBS stethos"
  12. EXIT or restart with the next SD card with Step 5.
