What is supported by stethos and NOT by Ricoh:

It is important for us to emphasize that out of more than 300 functions made available from IBS pertaining to output management, Ricoh corporation does currently support world wide just one: The bar code printing.

As more and more Ricoh support and sales engineers detect the additional potential of IBS solving their clients add-on needs, they asked us how they can benefit from these features.

This was the main reason for stethos to develop IBS CC. We are certain that we have accomplished this task in providing in the stethos IBS CC all the loved functions of the Ricoh BOCRT tool.
On top IBS CC provides access to some of the most commonly used non bar code functions, which are also available in its server based implementation (ELP = Enhanced Laser Printing). The few small functions being addressable in IBS CC are giving access to low level output management routines, such as adding forms or stapling.
Complex configurations can even be directly imported from ELP and stored and executed in the printer by IBS.

Are the Quicksets, Generate forms or ELP mode buttons missing?

Important:

Any additional functions for example the rule based printing keys Search, Replace, Add or Trigger and especially the IBS Control Center menus:

• IBS Enhanced Quicksets
• Generate Forms
• IBS ELP mode
• Capture data streams in the Debug IBS view

re exclusively supported by stethos or one of their local partners (Where to get additional support).

This common support split between

• IBS printing bar codes -> Ricoh
• All other functions needing an IBS configuration file: convert.ini -> stethos

is independent if the Ricoh BOCR tool or stethos IBS CC is used for installation. The IBS CC can be used even when IBS was installed using BOCRT.
